The Casey’s Pond Continuum

Casey’s Pond will offer the most comprehensive variety of senior living and care environments within 150 miles of Steamboat Springs.  While we recognize that everyone’s goal is to maximize their independent living, we also know that specialized living environments combined with supportive care giving and programs can also enhance independence and ensure comfort and safety.  The Casey’s Pond Continuum of living will include four distinct environments that encourage independent living, foster assisted living for physical and memory challenges, and provides skilled nursing care. We don’t stop there - the Continuum also coordinates out-patient, medical, physician, and acute care hospital needs with our unique relationship with Yampa Valley Medical Center www.yvmc.org

The Story

A few years back, the Board and Directors of the Yampa Valley Medical Center had the insight and inspiration to explore various senior living models across the country to inspire and apply towards creating a special living environment in Northwest Colorado.  Research soon supplemented inspiration and we began to ask questions about what's important in later life to seniors, families, health care practitioners, and also to ourselves. Ultimately we will create a community that local adult children will embrace and promote to their senior parents as a lifestyle choice, and bring their families geographically and socially closer.

Where will we want to live as we age, and, how can we invigorate our lives and support our aging processes?

We learned that while "home is where the heart is", home also needs to be accommodating to support our physical and memory needs and should also be socially engaging.

We've embarked on the design of Colorado's newest and most exciting senior living community, Casey's Pond, and we look forward to groundbreaking in the near future.
